Brandon Lee must be rolling in his grave.
The late actor's best-known movie, the 1994 cult classic The Crow, is getting the remake treatment, to which we can only ask: is nothing scared?
Not only is The Crow -- the story of a murdered rock star who returns from the dead to seek revenge against those who murdered him and his fiancee -- Lee's most beloved role (sorry fans of Rapid Fire), but it was on the set of The Crow that Lee died, in a freak accident involving blank bullets. Seriously, isn't there some sort of moral code in Hollywood that says if an actor died during the filming of the movie, you will not, under any circumstances, remake it?
Considering it's a film about resurrection, the choice of Stephen Norrington - who Variety reports has signed on for directing duties, is fitting. While his first film, Blade, is a pretty good action flick, and is reminiscent of The Crow's dark visual style, his second feature, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, effectively destroyed his career
